Meet Karen
Karen has over 30 years of experience development at both the strategic and operational level. Her clients span a wide range of industries in both public and private sectors including the NHS, Higher Education, Private and Public Schools, the Motor and Finance Industries as well as local government and Olympic Sporting Teams.
Karen specialise in the challenges facing businesses, as well as those of early-to-late phase start-ups in both the UK and mainland Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She prides herself in being an inspiring presenter with a talented approach to delivery and draws on her skills and intuition to get results.
She has experience have led her to develop a wide range of programs, with a specialty in delivering solutions that demonstrate real, measurable change. Programs include executive level to team leadership to sales leadership training. Core skills include leading and developing a highly functional corporate culture, Executive and Board development, transformational leadership effectiveness, sales team and sales leadership development, and team effectiveness
Meet Claire
Claire is co-director of Karen Knowles Training and Development and works passionately to develop people to High Performance within their workplace regardless of their role. She specialises in workplace culture, leadership, and robust communication practises with a passion for ‘developing people to succeed’.
Claire has a background in Special Needs Education as both a Teacher and Middle Leader. Working within this role gave her an understand of how to work effectively within a team and to lead a team with high expectations. This role sparked her passion to support organisations and individuals on their own journeys to personal effectiveness. She recognises that people are the most valuable resource within an organisation and encourages an investment in them through the specific training that facilitates effectiveness whilst also impacting on wellbeing.
As a confident and engaging presenter, Claire is experienced in delivering seminars to large groups whilst also being able to offer effective & personalised coaching. No matter the group size, Claire ensures a high quality of training and development, tailored to the needs of the customer.
Claire is a Licensed Insights Discovery Practitioner, specialising in supporting an understanding of self and others with an overall aim of working with businesses to ensure effective communication, Teamwork, and leadership skills for all staff. Claire is also a Liberating Leadership Practitioner offering inspiring leadership and development training to senior teams across varying sectors.

As an Insights® Discovery Partner, we delight in using Insights and Jungian Theory to help our clients to understand themselves, others and how the different Insights colour energies interact. It is such a valuable tool to help with communication, teamwork, collaboration and leadership.
We have gained a lot of experience in senior and middle leader development across a variety of sectors; with an overall aim of developing and sustaining their ability to lead consistently high-performing and motivated individuals and teams. We offer bespoke programmes including ‘Liberating Leadership’ which is a practical programme focused on a step-by-step process, central mindset, and core set of skills. Leadership & management development is also offered in the form of personalised one to one coaching.
We offer our bespoke, in-house programmes: ‘My Customer, My Responsibility’ (Designed and Produced by Karen Knowles) which work helps people to understand their role in customer service both within and across departments and organisations. It helps people to recognise and improve the service they provide to their internal and external customers. This programme develops staff to consider: how can they adapt, and how can they better connect most effectively on all levels with each other and the customer? We also offer ‘train the trainer’ which we can design to fit the needs of trainer development in any organisation.
Wellbeing and workplace culture are a fundamental part of our training and development focus.
